Our first Australia day by the bay had a few hundred people attend.
A delicious Lamb on the spit as well as fresh seafood kept the crowds well nourished.
Inaugural crab races were heavily contested with 12 crabs being auctioned off.
The Commodore Guy Houghton won with the crab he purchased at auction. Guy kindly donated back the prize money raising $1100 for a charity of his choice being Zoe’s Angels (Zoe’s Angels bring awareness to children suffering a chronic debilitating rare illness. Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis is an incurable, painful and often debilitating disease. Zoe’s Angels support children and families affected by Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and Lupus.)
Face painting and Jumping castles were the hit of the day with all the young ones that attended whilst Ian Calvert and his band rocked the afternoon away with some fabulous Aussie Rock music.
Thank you all for your support
