Dear Members,

The past weekend saw a small delegation of MBTBC members venture to the Southern Haven for a working bee.  I am pleased to be able to advise you, as the new Haven representative, thanks to the hard work that has gone into the facility in the recent months and the work of last weekends delegation. The Haven is getting back to it’s former glory.

Last weekend the generator fuel was refilled, the water tanks were filled, all gas bottles checked and replaced where necessary, kitchen and grounds cleaned, showers cleaned and hot water checked, BBQ and the gas kitchen appliances all checked.  The only items that still needs attention is the hot water in the kitchen area, this plus the light over the BBQ will be rectified next visit.

As the Haven rep it is my intention to visit the facility monthly to keep up the services as they are used.  I also urge members to pick up the blower or a rake (both in the laundry) when visiting and give the place a spruce up.

With the Haven back in business I urge members to take advantage of the facility and if you find something is not working then please let me know.
